I might have admitted this a hundred times before, but good god, I cannot continue to hate this stupid show.  I think I am addicted to the drama, but can’t the writers decide to put Ugly Betty in the middle of a Mode special layout—A MAKEOVER—so we don’t have to see her looking like a frumpy lardass? 

This week Betty (America Ferrera) and Henry work especially hard to try and give it a go at their SECRET relationship.  Betty’s dealing with the fact that everyone’s supporting her at getting over Henry & no one wants her to have a romantic rendezvous with a man that has to leave New York in five months. 

Back at Mode, Gio (Freddie Rodroguez) shows up.  Now he’s got his own sandwich company, Gio’s Sandwiches.  He credits Betty with getting him started on his own company after getting him fired so he gives her some coupons for some free food.  Personally, I love Gio.  I love the witty banter between Gio and Betty, & I wish the two of them would get together.  Someone assassinate Henry so I can get my flipping wish.


Meanwhile, Daniel is trying to save Mode from his advertising fumble from last week.  Now that the magazine is about to go under Daniel realizes he has to do something quick.  Especially since his father mentioned that Daniel continues to be a screw up, even though his father hated Alexis for getting a sex change she continues to be his favorite.  Daniel’s plan is to seduce this cougar in charge of a jewelry line in order to get her to pay for advertising at Mode.  Betty realizes this and tells Daniel he should have some self pride and integrity.  While doing this he explains to her that Mode’s demographics are the exact audience she needs to target.  She agrees to buy advertising with Mode, but rejects Daniel as a lover because she doesn’t like guys with smarts.  Hilarious.  

While this is going on Betty attempts to score tickets to go to the Broadway play WICKED.  It’s all sold out & Daniel overhears her trying to buy tickets.  He asks if they are for Henry and she says they are for her and her new boyfriend Gio.  Daniel gives Gio two tickets for Wicked and Betty thinks things are going to be awesome, but Gio refuses to give her his half of the ticket.  Betty thinks she can fix this by talking Amanda into getting another ticket in the company box seats.  After getting Amanda to get her two more tickets Betty & Henry arrive at the theater for their date only to see Daniel!  Betty grabs Gio and pretends to be on a date with him.  This forces Betty to spend most of the evening with Gio while Henry spends it with Gio’s bratty sister.  Betty and Henry escape to see each other & Betty tells him how she’s conflicted.  They end up backstage making out when the part of the stage they are standing on moves onto the main stage and the entire theater sees them making out.  Daniel confronts Betty about being a liar and says he’s very disappointed in her.  Betty leaves Henry and goes home to cry to Hilda, her sister.  Hilda tells Betty that she should go to Henry because even a small amount of time with someone you love is important.  Then like a fat loser slob Betty shows up at Henry’s apartment.  They probably banged.  I am disappointed beyond words to admit I was saddened by the fact that Betty is still not dating stupid, rude Gio.  Lame.
