This week started with Trainer Bob dressing down Neil for voting against his best friend Ryan in last week’s elimination. Neil had tried to explain that Ryan was going home no matter which way he voted. Bob said it was game playing and I don’t think he was far off. Neil claimed to Ryan’s face that it was honorable being sent home by friends and I still don’t understand that. Give me a room full of enemies that help me win a quarter million bucks over a couple of friends that stab me in the back any day of the week.
Neil’s not winning this competition anyway, not while this writer stands shouting into the bandwidth vortex!
Amy tried to find closure with her old trainer Kim by giving back her Red Team shirt. Kim was all like, I don’t want the shirt back and Amy was all like, no, take the shirt and I’m all like I hope you two get stranded on a desert island and Amy eats Kim and no one ever rescues her.
The teams were reshuffled and now there are no teams, it’s an individual competition- except all the Black team works out by themselves and all the Blue team works out by themselves and Bryan, the last Red team member definitely works out by himself.
The reward challenge was to find a five thousand dollar chip, buried in a donut in a room stacked with the decadent treats. They had to eat donuts to play and Kae was the only player who stayed out of the competition by not eating. Isabeau literally had her hand on the winning donut but walked away and Bill found the money chip.
The next challenge was a competition for a trip home and immunity in the elimination round. The task was a twenty four kilometer triathlon. 20 K biking, 3 K running and one K swimming. Julie, Amy and Isabeau were eliminated after the biking, Nicole, Bryan and Neil were bounced after the running leaving Bill, Hollie and Kae to the swimming. It was at this point that it was revealed that Hollie is a swimming instructor. Huh? How is that even possible? Regardless of my questions, she trounced her high powered competition and got to pick one other player to get the same reward. She picked Julie and again I went, “Huh?”
The one catch for their immunity was they couldn’t gain any weight this week or they were up for elimination too. Julie went home and found her husband had lost twenty eight pounds on his own (Julie lost thirty eight on the show so far). Hollie became an inspiration and help to a friend of hers that is obese and they worked out together. This was a little more touching than Julie’s story. Maybe because Hollie was reaching out to someone and Julie was wholly involved with herself.
At the weigh-in Hollie and Julie eeked by with zero weight lost or gained for the week. Bill got over the one hundred pound mark and wept and Bryan and Amy were the two with the least weight lost. They were up for elimination.
In the end, everyone basically agreed that Bryan deserved to stay but Amy had the strength of the Black team behind her. She has never been a likable person and has just played the game too sloppily. In the end, Isabeau crossed the team lines and was the deciding vote to send Amy home. If Neil was sore from Bob’s spanking, I have a feeling that is nothing compared to what Jillian is going to do to Isabeau when she hears about this.
Despite my feelings about Amy, she did lose a hundred pounds since her involvement in the show and got her life back. That deserves congratulation. Great job, Amy. Keep it up.
