Last week we left the Hickey brothers as the warden told them to find Frank (Michael Rappaport) and drag him back to prison, as he had escaped while under the supervision of Randy. All the while, Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Earl (Jason Lee) have been arguing over whom, of the two of them, is in charge. Joy (Jamie Pressly) has her own set of problems, as she agreed to be surrogate mother to her half sister’s child, but apart of their agreement was a natural birth, which includes no inducing labor.
Not surprisingly, the episode begins with Randy and Earl continuing to argue about who’s in charge. The warden (Craig T. Nelson) refuses to tell them who’s in charge so they basically duke it out. Clearly, Earl has the direction, range and attitude to lead the two, but Randy retorts by saying he’s wearing the badge so according to the laws of the land Randy’s actually in charge. Randy then shows off the fancy German shepherd he has acquired to help them track down Frank. Earl tells him having a dog with a giant “Prison K-9” harness on it isn’t exactly low key, pointing out another flaw in one of Randy’s plans. Basically, the first part of the episode goes on like this.
Finally, Earl tells Randy that he has done his homework and found out that Frank is heading for their trailer where he hid the money from the robbery he did years ago. Earl and Randy decide to watch the trailer from the El Camino.
After all the bickering between the two brothers Randy breaks down saying how he’s basically terrible at everything he has ever done. Earl cannot enjoy this moment and he tries to give Randy some examples of things he’s good at doing, which he narrows down to being in charge of toys. Randy is a dunce.
In another part of Camden, Joy marches into the local emergency room demanding to see a doctor. She’s finally had enough of her 10 month pregnancy and she’s going to secretly induce labor without the consent or knowledge of her half-sister. While enjoying a luxurious massage, her half-sister shows up and flips out over the fact that Joy was secretly inducing. She then tackles the nurse supposed to give Joy the shot to initiate labor and the needle accidentally ends up stabbing Darnell (Eddie Steeples) in the belly. Joy throws a fit and drags Darnell home as he begins to have psychosomatic labor pains.
Back at the trailer, Earl and Randy makeup, but their reunion is cut short as Frank shows up. Randy and Earl confront him saying they know he’s come to get the money, but he actually takes a gun out from a hiding place instead of the money and takes the brother’s hostage. In the midst of all this Joy and Darnell return from the hospital with her half-sister and her husband in tow. Frank takes the entire group hostage and makes Joy help him move the stove to get to his money—this finally causes her water to break and Darnell has to deliver the baby. After this happens Frank gets his money and runs off. Too bad the Randy’s guard dog finds him as he’s running out of the trailer and attacks him. In the end Joy and Darnell give the baby and Frank’s money to her half-sister while Randy and Earl save the day by bringing their ex-con friend back to prison.
RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION: A Whole Lotta Nuthin' Going On
I am not going to sit here and say the RE3 is Oscar-winning material, but this type of movie never is. I also think it is the weakest of the three RE movie so far, but I still enjoyed going to see it this past Saturday. There are some good effects and visuals and I do agree that the movie is at its best when Milla is on screen. It is a decent brain-candy, action, zombie, popcorn- type of movie that I think most people who liked the other RE movies will enjoy.I really liked how the movie started out where you wonder if the theatre is showing the wrong version. There are several good action sequences and Alice is starting to be able to really kick some butt with her mental powers. I was disappointed that so little action did take place in Los Vegas. Overall it could have been better, but I enjoyed RE3 and look forward to the forth movie
