Who could ask for a better Christmas present?
As of December 25, 2007, THERE WILL BE BLOOD, the latest film by writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson (BOOGIE NIGHTS), and starring acting juggernaut Daniel Day Lewis, has scored a mind-blowing 100 percent on
MetaCritic!
Now granted, only six reviews have been factored into BLOOD’s perfect score; however those reviews are coming from pretty big-name publications like NEWSWEEK, PREMIERE, VARIETY, and a small periodical you may have heard of, THE NEW YORKER.
Woe, by the time you read this, the moment of perfection is likely to have waned, though I suspect THERE WILL BE BLOOD will continue to be lauded with praise—just as we here at Critics Rant
predicted months ago. (Being psychic is part of our job description.)
Take a look at the photos to see for yourself when THERE WILL BE BLOOD was the perfect movie, then refresh your memory about why this film is getting the props it is with a look at the latest trailer. THERE WILL BE BLOOD opens in NYC and LA on December 26, with special sneak previews in select cities on December 29th. Nationwide release is scheduled for January 2008.
For more information on the sneak preview screenings you can go

The Last Mimzy — Bunny from the Future
Hey the last mimzy was really good for children, and adults alike. I 'd like to know why the bunny is called a mimzy. It really wasn't all that exciting, it was just nice to get away from the maddening world we live in today. Of course, I wouldn't ever believe a bunny could save a world!!
