Moviefone has posted the first
picture of the new U.S.S. Enterprise from J.J. Abrams upcoming STAR TREK reboot. The pic looks like a production still from the STAR TREK teaser
trailer, which will premiere on Jan. 18 in theaters before monster-takes-Manhattan thriller
CLOVERFIELD, which is also produced by Abrams. The pic of the Enterprise is too vague for me to really judge, however seeing the legendary ship first being built does make me a bit excited to see how Captain Kirk and crew first stumble into their adventures.

Hey gang, just wanted to give you a quick peek at the latest
picture from INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, which recently hit the web. The pic shows stars Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf (and a team of guys huddled behind them,) standing on the precipice of some spider-webbed ancient temple. It’s a throwback to the world of Dr. Jones we all know and love, and a positive sign that INDY 4 might not suck all that bad. Check out the full version inside.

As I sat down and prepared to enjoy an evening of entertaining TV, I remembered I had to review this piece of trash. Nobody said life was fair, so I hunkered down and psyched myself up for what I was sure to be a painful and uninspiring hour. I wish I could tell you how wrong I turned out to be, but alas, this show still hasn’t grown on me. In fact, in this age of gorilla promotion and snap decisions, I fully expected CASHMERE MAFIA to be pulled from the air by now. I guess you can chalk this up to yet another consequence of the long, drawn out writer’s strike. That being said, I will now inform you of what was put on the air and dared to be called TV drama.

SHINE A LIGHT is the latest “rockumentary” by legendary director Martin Scorsese. Having previously covered The Band (LAST WALTZ), and Bob Dylan (NO DIRECTION HOME), Scorsese turns his camera on perennial rockers The Rolling Stones, as the group preps and performs a 2006 concert at the Beacon Theater in New York City.

Hey gang! As a believer that readers should always get more trailer for their buck, we here at Critics Rant wanted to let you in on a few of the newest trailers we thought you might want to know about.
Check out the newest trailers inside for THE BANK JOB with Jason Statham, DOOMSDAY with the sexy Rhona Mitra, HAROLD AND KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY as an unlikely sequel, and VANTAGE POINT, a hot new thriller.

The third and thankfully final episode of COMANCHE MOON begins and ends with death. (And I don’t mean mine, though there were times I contemplated it as a positive alternative.) It’s1865, seven years after the end of the last episode (if only these two hours could pass as quickly) and Gus McCrae (Steve Zahn) is a widower. His wife of one year, a woman named Nellie, passed recently. And he is stoic in cowboy fashion. “We’re all just lingering; none of us can avoid that.”

AMERICAN IDOL, bastard child of the people of this great nation, how I love you. I seriously watch this show and feel immediately better about myself because I have actively avoided having a British know-it-all verbally assault me while looking terribly bored. Tonight the team is in Dallas, hometown of dummies, weirdos and city that birthed Kelly Clarkson. Ryan Secrest tells me this and I really think the lack of writers cannot effect a show that desperately wants you to try out for it by embarrassing the hell out of yourself.
