Hey gang! As a believer that readers should always get more trailer for their buck, we here at Critics Rant wanted to let you in on a few of the newest trailers we thought you might want to know about.
First up is THE BANK JOB, the true story of a 1970’s London bank heist. When a group of amateur burglars tunnel into a vault and rob the safety deposit boxes of London’s most powerful politicians and businessmen, they learn the hard way that some things are best left unstolen. BANK JOB stars Jason Statham (THE TRANSPORTER), and is slated for a March 7 release.
DOOMSDAY plunges us into a post-apocalyptic future, where inhabitants of humanity’s last city must venture out into the wasteland, to search for the cure to a deadly disease amongst a tribe of brutal savages, who are somehow immune. The film will be directed by Neil Marshall (THE DESCENT) and will star Malcolm McDowell, Bob Hoskins, and the scorching-hot Rhona Mitra. DOOMSDAY arrives on March 14.
HAROLD AND KUMAR: ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY is basically the same movie as the first HAROLD AND KUMAR, except this time the pair of stoners embark on a hazy journey to escape Guantanamo Bay, after they are arrested for being suspected terrorists. John Cho and Kal Penn will reprise their titular roles, while Neil Patrick Harris will reprise his role as…Neil Patrick Harris. April 25, the escape is on.
Finally, VANTAGE POINT is a tortuous whodunit flick, examining how eight eyewitness accounts of a Presidential assassination don’t quite add up to the truth. The film is chock full of stars, including Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Forest Whitaker, Sigourney Weaver, William Hurt, Zoe Saldana, and Richard T. Jones. It is scheduled for a Feb. 22, release.
Take a look at all the trailers, or just the ones that tickle your fancy, and rant back to us about what you think.
