Now that we've shown you some of the posters from a few of the flicks at Sundance, we thought we'd show you some of the trailers that caught our eye. Check out the goods on these four films which are getting some buzz at Sundance. You might be able to see 'em next year at a multiplex near you.
We have trailers for the films DOWNLOADING NANCY, GOLIATH, and IN BRUGES and THE YEAR OF GETTING TO KNOW US. Check them out and let us know if they're something you'd go see.
DOWNLOADING NANCY is based on the true story of a depressed housewife (Maria Bello), who goes online and hires a stranger (Jason Patric) to kill her. Only, when she finally meets her murderer-to-be in person, the pair fall in love in a most disturbing way. (This trailer is definitely not for the kiddies.)
GOLIATH tells the story of an emotionally shattered divorcee, whose sole joy is the cat—Goliath—that he and his ex-wife shared. When Goliath suddenly goes missing, the remnants of the man’s life begin to crumble around him. GOLIATH was directed by David Zellner, and stars his brother, Nathan Zellner.
IN BRUGES is dark comedy about two hitmen, (Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson), whose boss sends them to the quaint town of Bruges, Belgium, to lay low after a a high-profile job. Stranded in the happy, two-hotel town, the hitmen begin to experience changes of heart about life, death, and their current profession, until a rival assassin (Ralph Fiennes) shows up in Bruges, looking for a little payback.
Finally, THE YEAR OF GETTING TO KNOW US is another dark comedy, about a successful NYC freelance writer named Christopher Rocket (Jimmy Fallon), who fled his Florida roots in order to escape his eccentric mother and golf-obsessed father. When his father falls into a coma, Rocket must return to Florida to face the family, and past, he left behind. Lucy Liu, Sharon Stone, Tom Arnold, and Illeana Douglas co-star.
Take a look at the trailers, and rant back to us about which of the films would be YOUR pick for the Sundance Audience Award.
