Oliver Stone To Direct George W. Bush Biopic

By Kofi Outlaw

…Because that’s just what the world needs at this point!

Acclaimed director Oliver Stone (JFK) was hinting that he wanted to do a biopic about President George W. Bush as far back as his ALEXANDER press tour in 2004. Now, that wish is becoming a reality as the film, entitled BUSH, is gearing up for an April production start date, barring any delays from the looming SAG strike.

“Here, I’m the referee, and I want a fair, true portrait of the man,” Stone told Variety. How did Bush go from an alcoholic bum to the most powerful figure in the world? It’s like Frank Capra territory on one hand, but I’ll also cover the demons in his private life, his bouts with his dad and his conversion to Christianity, which explains a lot of where he is coming from. It includes his belief that God personally chose him to be president of the United States, and his coming into his own with the stunning, preemptive attack on Iraq. It will contain surprises for Bush supporters and his detractors.”

A script by Stanley Weiser (WALL STREET) has already been finished, and NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN star Josh Brolin is slated to portray the 43rd President. Details like set locations and building a faux White House have yet to be finalized, but filmmakers are confident they will have them ironed out in time for a release date during, or following, the next election.

Would you too like to know how an “alcoholic bum” went on to become President? Or do you want it to be the last you see of G-Dub, when that rascal finally bows out of office? Rant back and let us know.

I think its to be aspected that his teamvwould finally leave him. Honestly Hugh Lauries(house) is a very well rounded dynamic character. BUt he's an asshole none the less and in a place of bussiness his attitude and persona truly clash with the surrounding subordinates. He has too much ego and it over shadows his intelligence and good nature if he has any.
