Since all the other major movie networks are doing it, I guess Starz is feeling a bit of the bandwagon pressure and has announced it’s plans to air a series based on the 2006 Academy Award winning film, CRASH. The network is typically known for it’s diverse movie programming and is saying that venturing into the wide world of network programming is the perfectly logical step for them to take, and that’s probably because big brother HBO and SHOWTIME are winning so much by doing it.
Lionsgate is behind the production and somehow they have talked most of the key players in the film that are not really doing much with their career and probably should be. In addition to CRASH, Starz has released two other original sitcoms that I have never even heard of and now need to watch, HEAD CASE and HOLLYWOOD RESIDENTIAL. Do you think CRASH will continue to shine on the small screen or do you think they’re taking the idea of intersecting story lines too far and eventually kill it? Leave your comments below!
