Guillermo del Toro To Direct Two HOBBIT Movies?

By Sabrina Cognata

In the wake of New Line Cinemas dispute resolution with famed director Peter Jackson it’s been announced that Guillermo del Toro is in talks to direct back-to-back installments of the even geekier HOBBIT.  In case you’re high on crack right now and cannot place Guillermo del Toro he’s responsible for the highly acclaimed PAN’S LABRYNTH as well as HELLBOY, BLADE II and the yet to be released HELLBOY II. The Hollywood Reporter says del Toro is on a very short list of directors execs over at New Line Cinema and MGM want to head this project.

Personally, del Toro’s last few projects have been incredibly awesome.  Have any of you caught a glimpse of the new HELLBOY II trailer?  It’s awesome.  Personally, I think he has both the vision and the talent to head up a project like THE HOBBIT FLICKS.  He’s a nice change from Peter Jackson, who I refer to as the formerly fat Jesus look alike, with all his megalomaniac tendencies.  Perhaps I’m wrong.  What do you think?  Is there a better choice for director or are studio execs making the right choice for a change?

So You Think You Can Dance — The Wade Robson Hour
Great show! Great Season! Even if you're not into dancing this show is worth watching. Now that they are down the final 20 contestents it's getting serious. Even the worst dance of the night (the tango by Ricky and Ashlee) was jaw dropping good. Take some time to see it, and get ready to dance!
