Latino Review is reporting that Arnold Vosloo—best known as ‘Imhotep’ in THE MUMMY series—will once again team with director Stephen Sommers to play the character of Zartan in the upcoming G.I. JOE movie.

Zartan, (as fan of the ‘JOE cartoon already know,) is the insidious leader of the COBRA mercenaries known as the Dreadnoks, and one of the Joes’ main foes. Like his cartoon counterpart, Vosloo’s Zartan will be a master of disguise, an expert martial artist, marksman, and a volatile schizophrenic.

G.I. JOE is still on course for a summer 2009 release. The film will star Sienna Miller, Marlon Waynes, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Byung-hun Lee, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Said Taghmaoui.
