ahh... fine acting by Rodrigo Santoro, an excellent actor from that lovely country, Brazil.

Not sure about the drama aspect of the movie. It's good, but I wouldn't watch it for this reason. It's is mainly a great looking film with lots of good action (if you like military strategies and ancient military formations)

It is historically fairly accurate (as accurate as the myth goes).

It also gives a great overview of how ancient the Ancient Greek were military savvy, having invented the phalanx formation.

I simply love the number 300.
Love the movie
Love the car
And would love such a yearly salary

to me this movie is not appealing to me at all. I dont think you could pay me to watch this. I bet its really super gory and the plot line sucks. I over heard a coworker say that 300 is the best movie of the year. I find this very hard to beleive. maybe it just doesnt appeal to me because i am a woman . Any other girls out there seen this movie and actually liked it?

This movie was awesome.....great, great, great action. Fight scenes were very intense. Two thumbs up on this one. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone out there who digs action movies. Kicks A**!!!

There was about 5 minutes (literally) of dialogue the whole film. But every scene was crafted so well, the action so intense brutal, violent, the scenery was breathtaking. Brilliant cinematography.

There was no theme so to speak. Just war. The movie was breathtaking.

I heard someone once say (might have been Ebert) making a hit antiwar film was impossible because death is enshrouded in glory in all cultures.

Who the hell could say this movie has no theme or a bad plotline?!?! What !? The Battle of Thermopylae is a story that has endured and inspired for thousands of years. This movie is brilliant.

Boy or Girl nobody can deny the awesome special effects displayed in the movie. Obviously a clear turn down for those who dislike action movies, but for others its a must watch in theaters only - not in home dvd.

I'm a girl and I loved this movie! I agree that it is the best movie of the year. I usually don't like action movies but I was so enthralled with it that I didn't mind the gore and the fighting. It has something for everyone in it. It has a love story also and the way that the queen fights for her man is very romantic and empowering. I hope they make more movies with those special effects, I really loved them. "This is SPARTA!!!!"

I'm a female, and I LOVED LOVED this movie, I don't think it was my fav of the year, but awesome to sit down for a good movie for the night.

I loved this movie too! I honestly did not expect to like it, and instead I was pleasantly surprised. For the people who wanted a different ending, ummm this is how it ended in real life.

This movie was great. Only 300 to fight against all forces!! That took great courage, and persistance!! Anyone who did not like this movie must have been stoned, and even then, I think that would heighten all the guts and glory!! I never thought it would be like it is. I was wrong. Yes the ending wasn't right, but I believe it was for the men, who had fought with all they had, and wanted, and needed a rest!! The king knew that, and did what he thought was right at the time, but we all make mistakes, and as soon as he laid down his weapon, he knew he was wrong, and tried to make it right, but it was too late, and every wrong move, comes with a price.
