        <title>KYLE XY -- "Lockdown"</title>
        <link>http://www.criticsrant.com/archive/2007/08/28/KYLE-XY----Lockdown.aspx</link>
<description>Now that Lori (April Matson) has exposed Jessi (Jaimie Alexander) as the person who attacked her, the whole Trager family is on high alert. Even Nicole (Marguerite Macintyre) couldn&amp;rsquo;t have anticipated the violent propensity of the new girl in town, and she is her therapist. But, this presents a special problem for Kyle (Matt Dallas), who now knows what the weird connection is between him and Jessi. This poor kid is now stuck between a rock and a hard place. I mean, the Tragers are his new family, and he so desperately wants to fit in, but Jessi is part of him too so he can&amp;rsquo;t turn his back on her. This now means that Kyle will have to keep even more secrets from the people who took him in and made him one of their own. As if being a clone and having a personal guide in this journey wasn&amp;rsquo;t enough to keep hidden. Thank goodness he has Declan (Chris Olivero) to share it all with. Maybe Tom Foss (Nicholas Lea) will understand now why Kyle had to unload his burden on somebody his own age.

With Jessi&amp;rsquo;s secrets beginning to spill out all over the place, how is her psuedo-sister, Emily (Leah Cairns), supposed to keep her under control? And, does she even want to; after all, it seems as if Emily is developing a familial bond with Jessi. Maybe that&amp;rsquo;s because she&amp;rsquo;s transferring those maternal instincts for the mysterious little girl - who has just popped onto the scene &amp;ndash; onto Jessi. We&amp;rsquo;ve been left to assume this little girl is Emily&amp;rsquo;s daughter, but is she? There is still the question as to how Foss fits into this family portrait. It&amp;rsquo;s clear that the rumor of Emily being Tom&amp;rsquo;s presumed dead wife isn&amp;rsquo;t true, but we are still left to wonder if the little girl is his daughter. We all know that Madacorp is capable of anything, so could they have snatched Tom&amp;rsquo;s little girl, in an attempt to punish him for his betrayal? Or maybe they are keeping her for leverage, should he threaten to spill the beans in the future.</description>
