This does look pretty whacked out but the trailer itself just makes you really wanna see it! I think Will Smith is a pretty damn good actor and am curious to see how much of that was mixed together and what is yet to come!

"I am Legend" is a classic novel (a novelette actually) that's been brought to the big screen twice already. It's such a fantastic novel! It's also a short and compact which should facilitate being scripted for film, but will they still manage to screw it up?

I hope they do a better job on this than the other two films, those were good but not great. They are off to a horrible start however, casting Will Smith was a mistake. We don't need the goddam fresh prince cast as a research scientist.

One of the coolest things about the book was how the author Richard Matheson integrated the vampire mythos into a science fiction story. He provided clever explanations for the classic vampire attributes like morphing into bats, stakes for killing them, fear of mirrors, etc. If the filmmakers ignore all that cool stuff they are idiots.

Another great part of the book is when the main character finds the uninfected dog and has to coax it into friendship. It's both engrossing and moving. If the filmmakers ignore that they are morons.

Finally there's the ending of the novel which I don't want to spoil but is so friggin' awesome and tragic. If they ruin it ... AAAARRRRRGH!!!! I am holding out hope because they are using the novel's actual -ultra cool- title in this incarnation of the filming of the book, and the title is meaningless if the ending of the story is changed.

Well, I don't think it's wrong to cast "The Fresh Prince" in anything. He's an excellent actor and I love vampire movies. From the trailer, this one looks good. I'll watch it!
