If there is anything positive about the writers’ strike, it’s that viewers in search of something fresh will sample THE WIRE. Once they do they finally will recognize what many of us have been saying the last four years – it is one of the best shows on the tube.

I just ran into Isaiah Whitlock Jr (Clay Davis) on the street and said hi. Most gracious lovely human being I’ve ever met. He’s doing a play called Unconditional that opens in a few days. He even gave me a discount code - LABUNCON. I just got like half off my ticket at labtheater.org/LABUNCON. Apparently another actor from The Wire is in it too. I’m there with bells on.
