THE EYE is the latest Japanese horror film given a glossy American makeover. It’s not the best of the bunch (THE RING), it’s not the worst of the bunch (ONE MISSED CALL), but is it worth a ten dollar movie ticket? I’ll let you be the judge.

Although they may all look alike to you, the orginal version of "The Eye," called "Gin gwai" is in fact Chinese horror (Hong Kong), not J-horror. I haven't seen the American version yet, but the original was decent, especially the creepy floaty man in the elevator.
